HyperWerk is an institute at the Academy of Art and Design, University of Applied Sciences, Northwestern Switzerland. Founded in 1999, HyperWerk is concerned with the design of processes under post-industrial conditions: we are pursuing projects between local physical realities and the global knowledge-resources of the digital world, often in international teamwork.

logo_COINs The coins11 conference, Sept. 8–10, 2011 is presented in collaboration by Hyperwerk Institute of Postindustrial Design and the COINs Collaborative, an initiative of the Savannah College of Art and Design, Wayne State University College of Engineering-Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Collective Intelligence. The collaborative builds open knowledge networks to advance the emerging science of collaboration for design, research and industry competitive advantage.
